From early 1800’s this bow fronted chest is the genuine article. While entirely useable there are some condition issues documented in our photographs. These largely relate to veneer, and cock beading around the drawer perimeters. All drawers operate well. Please don’t hesitate to call either in person or by phone for more information.
111 cm x 53 cm x 113 cm high.
A fine mahogany example fitted with a drawer and castors. From the pre Victorian era (1800 to 1830) with drop sides this is a useful and elegant entertaining table for the home. Some of the finer aspects of the cabinet maker’s skill are partly hidden. The castors concealed beneath the feet and the delicate turning on the pedestal, fully revealed when the side flaps are lifted.
