Made in France around 1930 these oak framed armchairs could be used in a dining or lounge room setting. The expensive tapestry fabrics and oak frames are in good condition. The inner stuffing would benefit from attention in the future. These chairs are useable at present. Please note that we also have available four standard (without arms) from the same set.

This beautifully carved armchair is a genuine French antique from the mid 1800’s. With it’s elegantly faded woven tapestry seat and back, it is the perfect reminder of your time in France. Or perhaps a place to plan the holiday to come.
Condition report. Importantly the detailed gothic frame and tapestry are in excellent original order. Some time over the last one hundred and fifty years some indulgent owner has allowed their cat to pull at the back panel at the lower right. This could be patched inexpensively, replaced, or even left as is, depending on your personal approach to authenticity (and cats).
