This bookcase is a marriage of two antique pieces, the bottom compartment is fitted for records the top compartment with two glass doors and adjustable shelves could be used to store books or collectables. The base is 116 cm wide, 48 cm deep and stands 100 cm high. The overall height is 230 cm. The price is $490.
This is our second example (at time of writing) of a bookcase composed of two antique pieces of furniture that sit together rather well but weren’t designed together originally. Two sliding doors covering compartments in the base 6 separate compartments. Above 2 glass doors, the book shelf compartment with infinitely adjustable shelving. Original painting of nude woman, signed E. Bednes 1988. Measurements are, height of the frame 106 cm width of the frame is 88 centimetres and the original work is 92 cm x 74 cm.
Worth a second look if working from home. Could accomodate a large screen/ monitor at the back, with huge bookshelf storage, yet a relatively small footprint. There is one more shelf included in the sale that has not been photographed. Please note that in our photos the desk is supported on blocks, this is due to the eccentric shape of our Victorian shop. The desk sits square and securely on a flat floor. Closer inspectiom reveals a warm cedar grain. Measurements are 105 cm wide, the desk 71cm deep and 78cm high. The overall bookcase height is 240cm, 99 cm wide and 30 cm deep. Note the shelves are adjustable. Some light scratches.

From the Victorian period this blue leather library chair has a good solid frame and castors. There are some significant wear lines in the seat. We believe these could be addressed successfully with some blue shoe polish and leather conditioner.
