Featuring elegant large curled metal hooks reminiscent of the iron work on an Art Nouveau French staircase, original white enamel drip trays and a number of round umbrella or walking stick holders. Made in France in the early 20th century by well-known maker featuring all original hooks intact, decorative carving of birds to the top of the drawer and original trays and decorative brass retainers for your umbrellas. Some discoloration in the mirror in the top left hand corner commensurate with the age. This was a prize-winning mirror maker in the 1880’s (Please see label photograph). Made in Australia in the early 1900’s this blackwood hallstand is in solid original condition with the authentic period hooks and a lift up compartment under the seat. A few light scratches and the circular tin drip trays are missing, otherwise a useful and practical antique.
