Silver Plate Sheffield Coffee Pot Victorian
Sheffield plate coffee pot with solid wood carved handle circa 1830. Sheffield plate is a wafer like sandwich of pure silver over copper. A different system that the silver plating system developed by Elkington in the 1860’s. This vessel features extensive decoration to the lid, the lip and spout. Measurements are 17 cm diameter and standing 24 cm high. Price $180.
