Traditionally one of our favourite objects, a compact writing desk, fall front also known as a bureau or ecritoire, from the 1930’s. Made in solid oak in England and with the fitted interior one would expect. Measurements 61 cm wide 40 cm deep, desk height 73 cm. Cabinet height 97 cm.
An unusual little desk in the Queen Anne Revival style.
Probably made in the early 1900’s, the inclined top is at a comfortable angle for parchment or iPad.
Underneath a large storage area for ink bottles or chargers, or whatever!
