From the late 19th century, a pair of baluster shaped vases with a fluted lip. The Imari colour scheme with it’s mix of reds, blues and whites, looks just as elegant today as it did 100 years ago. In that former world without planes or even cars.

A large (half a metre high) pocelain vase in a style reminiscent of Limoges. Made by Lindner Kueps Bavaria in the last half of the 20th century. Impressive detailed floral decoration in various groupings all around the body complemented by gold trim at the lip. No faults to mention.
55 cms high, maximum diameter
Mostly 20th Century. $3 to $45. Art and function. From it’s beginnings in China thousands if years ago, when this was the only colour available, right to the present day.
