An watercolour in an oak and gilt frame fom the early 20th century. The subject a young woman or girl in a brown hooded cloak might be interpreted as fantasy or fashion. What do you think? The signature seems quite deliberate however we are at this time unable to attribute it to a particular artist. Please see detail shot of this part of the painting.

A large original oil painting of poppies in the impressionist style from the early 1900’s. The frame is a little misleading in that it appears to be 1950’s. One of our knowledgable customers, experienced in this area, pointed out that the cream painted inner slip is probably early 20th century while the outer frame has been replaced. So easy when you know how!
Painted in Belgium, Holland or Northern France the next step is to try and decipher that signature. We have included a black and white shot if anyone has a clue.
