From the 1960 to 1970 period this dressing table was made in Japan from solid oak. Useful storage and compact overall dimensions combined with 9 drawers of storage and a much larger wing mirror than we normally see on much larger versions. No faults to speak of and the mirror lifts off without tools for easy and convenient transport.
89 cm wide x 40 cm deep and 180 cm high.
A very unusual version of a traditional two piece Tansu from Japan. With musical drawers (they proclaim that they are being opened with a musical chord) . Also hidden under the botttom drawer is a secret compartment. Add to this this item’s instrinsic Japanese elegance and you have a fabulous piece of useable storage furniture that will give excellent service for the next 50 years or more.
