More interesting than the more readily available Eames replicas, this chair and footstool was obviously inspired by that 1956 Charles and Ray Eames classic (#670 and #671). In this case the Italian designers have confidently reinterpreted the Eames theme with a different treatment of the bases and cushioned surfaces. Width is 60 cm Depth is 60 cm and height is 102 cm. A good quality upholstered footstool with a definite vintage Moroccan feel. Strong, firm padding with turned legs. The genuine colour is best represented in the detail shots.

Made by reputable and still active Melbourne upholsterer Alexander J. Cook of Essendon. This is a large and comfortable ottoman finished in blue corduroy with a buttoned top and braided trim. Would make good occasional seating or footstool.
