This beautifully carved armchair is a genuine French antique from the mid 1800’s. With it’s elegantly faded woven tapestry seat and back, it is the perfect reminder of your time in France. Or perhaps a place to plan the holiday to come.
Condition report. Importantly the detailed gothic frame and tapestry are in excellent original order. Some time over the last one hundred and fifty years some indulgent owner has allowed their cat to pull at the back panel at the lower right. This could be patched inexpensively, replaced, or even left as is, depending on your personal approach to authenticity (and cats).

A single antique armchair made in France at the turn of the last century. The frame is stong and sturdy, made in oak and intricately carved. The uphostery , a attractive tactile velvet stripe, while entirely useable in the forseeable, is fraying at a couple of points. Please see our photos for further details and as always, please don’t hesitate to call for more specific info and to order your own custom photos.
