True it is not all good news as there are cracks in four of the panels on the main door. This could be removed for transport to a repairer (we know just the guy). Plus the veneer would definitely be improved with a little patching and re-glueing. Overall this a truly stylish showcase for your collection, that could be inexpensively improved.

We are unable to attribute this pair of bakelite and chrome chairs to any designer. The screws would suggest pre 1960 and the bakelite colour post 1910. We have seen a similar 1920 example by Rene Herbst presently for sale in France that includes some duplicated structural elements in the design. However that one uses a cantilever frame. Also trying to work out the intended purpose of that large hook under the seat!
May we would like to take this opportunity to thank the many knowledgeable readers out there that share their learning and experience to help us solve these little mysteries.
