From the late 1900’s this is a particularly large chest of drawers that doesn’t take up too much floor space. The drawers operate smoothly and this chest has been doing a great storage job for over 100 years. While the painted finish exhibits many superficial scratches we feel it would look fabulous stripped as the entire piece is made of Kauri pine. Al handles intact.

An antique cedar chest of drawers made in Australia around 1900. As you will no doubt already be aware this magical and now extremely rare timber is impervious to borer and at the same time, light and strong. We would also like to rave about the beautiful colour and patina however that should be apparent in the photos. There are some splits and wear in the attached images. These don’t impede use and we can demonstrate an easy way to rectify this if you are interested.

In lovely honey coloured timbers this side table could be used in a hallway or beside a couch. We draw your attention to the interesting inlay on the front of this piece.

A substantial carved chest of drawers with a hidden compartment under the removeable top. Speaking of which imagine how fabulous this piece would look with a white or black marble top. More antique paraffin lamps available. Chest $590, lamps $80 to $220.
Measuring 140 x 57 x 80 cms high.
From Paris, a large Deco chest in natural oak from around 1930 ($1485). In the centre an elaborately carved standard lamp incorporating an occasional table ($525). And on the right an Australian antique hall stand in cedar. This elegant piece would appear to suit a larger lobby, or more compact entrance. Probably made around 1900, it is in excellent condition ($1090).
