Straight out of a Raymond Chandler novel and made around that time. This genuine antique roll top desk is made from blackwood around 1930. It is in good working order with keys and separates into three pieces without tools. Roll top mechanism working. Makers plate for E.H. Mackenzie of Southport. A blackwood display cabinet from the 1930’s with two glass shelves and glass sides. Cabriole legs and and a carved rope edge on the top. There is one key. Some light scratches otherwise no faults to speak of.
