A large (50 cm high) pair of cane covered boxes decorated in the Chinese style. Storage for linen, or even, as the interior is lined, firewood. An attractive and practical accessory. Late 20th century. Apart from some minor paint losses there are no faults to mention.

Featuring extensively carved chest made from scented camphorwood. We are sure that everyone is aware that camphorwood is an ideal material as is resists all insects. There is a candle tray on the right and a simple traditional lock. This trunk was probably made around 1950.
