An unusual item, this heavy oak cabinet has two doors drawer and a rare service slide. A flat drawer hidden below the top that extends to provide 30% more service or display area. Very thick and solid oak, obviously made around 1900, with little regard to skimping on materials or cabinet work.
The top (or upper back) can be removed for transport.
While useable, please note the following items may require attention.
1.Finish extesively scratched and worn.
2. One handle missing on drawer.
3. Approx 3 cm of finishing trim not present.
4. Fabric lining in top drawer needs removal.

An early, very early example of furniture from provincial France. Made from oak, this would date from 1800 to 1830. Incidentally what a tumultuous political period there was in France at this time. With one King lasting for nine days and another for only two!

This is an antique chest of drawers from Northern Europe (France or Belgium). While completely original in appearance, the top drawer has been cleverly modified by a local antique dealer. The drawer front now folds down as a flap to allow access to your electronic equipment. Please refer to photos.
