A folding four panel screen with limed oak frames and two way hinges . The fabric is in undeniably poor condition on virtually every panel (button back on one side and flat on the reverse). This is a very useful piece of furniture and even like this has a certain ‘shabby chic’ charm. Flat, used against a wall say as a bedhead, just under 3.5 metres wide. Freestanding, each panel angled slightly, about 3 metres wide. Each panel is 87 centimetres wide 184 centimetres high and is approximately 2.5 centimetres thick. Three (3) Japanese carved panels originally sold by reputable Japanese dealer Kazari. With pierced upper sections and blind carved panels in the lower half. These have been modified slightly with metal clips to use as wardrobe doors but could easily be restored to their original condition. Each panel measures 43 cm wide 253 cm high. Please note that approximately 20 cm could be removed from the bottom without affecting the overall appearance if required.

A very tall and luxurious three panel screen of recent manufacture and appearing to have been commissioned regardless of cost. Fitted out with finest identical fabric on both sides. Each facet of these sections surrounded by hundreds of large bronze pins, and each of those three secured by strong brass hinges. $1200.
