Hall Table Aesthetic Movement Cedar Antique
An interesting little hall table made in the mid 1800’s in London by celebrated cabinet maker T.H. Filmer. Fearuring the restrained and elegant decorative style associated with the Aesthetic Period. Please note the unusual side drawer. We are fortunate that this is a fairly compact piece and would fit in most homes. Originally displayed in the Oxford Street showroom of the maker at the same time Charles Dickens himself strolled the streets of London. Who knows if he may have admired it’s shape as he peered through the glass of the gaslit window panes one evening in the metropolis.

A handy and attractive side table made in the late 1800’s. Though originally a washstand from the bedroom that would have held a jug and basin set. Now with it’s white marble top, it would be used as an elegant hall table, side table or even a food prep table in the domestic kitchen.

An unusual item, this heavy oak cabinet has two doors drawer and a rare service slide. A flat drawer hidden below the top that extends to provide 30% more service or display area. Very thick and solid oak, obviously made around 1900, with little regard to skimping on materials or cabinet work.
The top (or upper back) can be removed for transport.
While useable, please note the following items may require attention.
