A genuine Chinese antique altar that could be used as a bookcase or sideboard. Purchased in Hong Kong by the owners approx. 40 years ago, we believe this is a Qing dynasty (1636 – 1912) piece, probably mid to late 19th century. There are some losses to the fretwork decoration on the sides, otherwise in good usable order. A useful and extremely rare antique in this now extremely sought after area of antiques. Ideal display area for a collection of Chinese ceramics.
